Kalu Yala Internships Sustainability-Focused Entrepreneurial Internships in Panama

Biology Program based in Kalu Yala

Mission: Our purpose is to increase the biological knowledge base surrounding Kalu Yala.
Vision: Our ultimate goal is to be a center of research and monitoring for maintaining ecological sustainability in the Tres Brazos valley.

The Biology Program focuses on conducting biological field research, such as the cataloging of flora and fauna in and around Kalu Yala. We will spend many hours hiking and exploring the various ecosystems surrounding the property. You will have the opportunity to make observations, ask your own questions, and seek your own explanations. Whether you already have a particular passion in biology or you are still trying to find it, this is the opportunity to escape the classroom and experience one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. Projects have ranged from GIS mapping and water testing, to species richness comparisons between old and new growth forest ecosystems (see past projects tab).
