Every summer since 2000, the Hepatitis B Foundation has recruited outstanding college students for its Summer Internship Program, located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania (25 miles north of Philadelphia).
The Hepatitis B Foundation provides a unique opportunity for junior and senior college students in its paid Student Research Internship Program. Eligible students spend 10 weeks in this innovative, educational program that give students that are considering graduate school, medical school or industrial research careers the possibility to gain a personal perspective on the scientific process from formulating and testing hypotheses, to working with a faculty advisor in a state-of-the-art research laboratory.
Students will gain firsthand experience in professional research, other scholarly activities, or outreach services at the HBF and research affiliate, the Baruch S. Blumberg Institute. This unique experience allows participants the opportunity to gain a personal perspective on the entire scientific process: from formulating and testing hypotheses, to working with an advisor in a state-of-the-art research laboratory or outreach office.
This is a 10-week summer program that runs from June 1 to August 7, 2015 and includes a modest stipend. Students entering their junior or senior year of college in fall 2015 are eligible to apply. Housing is the responsibility of the student.
