Graduate, Postdoctoral and Senior Research Fellowships at federal laboratories

The National Research Council of the National Academies sponsors a number of awards for graduate, postdoctoral and senior researchers at participating federal laboratories and affiliated institutions. These awards include generous stipends ranging from $45,000 - $80,000 per year for recent Ph.D. recipients, and higher for additional experience.  Graduate entry level stipends begin at $30,000.  These awards provide the opportunity for recipients to do independent research in some of the best-equipped and staffed laboratories in the U.S. Research opportunities are open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and for some of the laboratories, foreign nationals.

Job description:  INDOOR Biotechnologies is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician for the Allergen Manufacturing, R&D group to start in July 2014.

The position involves purification of natural and recombinant allergens using a variety of chromatographic techniques, including HPLC, as well as quality assessments using ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Endotoxin and other methods.

The position also involves key responsibilities to fulfill requirements of the ISO 9001 quality management system. Must enjoy working in the lab, and be product/quality oriented. Enthusiasm, self-motivation, attention to detail, initiative to learn new methods, and collaboration with team members are essential.

Education, training, experience: 

-          Minimum required BA or BS in Life Sciences.
