This position is for an internship in the cell biology group at X-Chem. The candidate will be
working closely with and learning from scientists who have been working in the
biotech/pharmaceutical industry for several years. This internship will allow the candidate to
learn basic scientific techniques and experimental design along with training them to be a team
player and be innovative. The intern will have an exciting research project, and will work
alongside scientists and other interns in a biology lab supporting target validation and drug
discovery projects.
Program Objectives:
Learn and execute various cell culture based experiments to evaluate targets in our portfolio
Become familiar with and conduct multiple experiments including but not limited to Western
blotting, protein quantification and cell viability assays
Accurately analyze and record experimental data into the X-Chem database
Keep precise records of daily work in lab notebook
Present experimental data and analysis to project teams, group, and company
Requirements:
The candidate must have taken courses in biological sciences or related field and should be
interested in doing lab based research. Prior hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture is a
